So to begin, I needed to find a cemetery that was closer to home than the one I usually work in. What I would consider as my “home” cemetery where I have done many works is 35 miles one way from my house. 70 miles round trip is a bit much considering the frequency I will need to be in it to do works. Recon must be done. I did some poking around on the ‘net to see what was around. The closest cemetery is well fenced and patrolled, not fun for the work I’ll be doing. Another one, a little further away was suggested. Initially I wasn’t interested. I figured I would just have to bite the bullet and travel to my regular haunt.
My first work was to go find a spirit to work with. While prepping for the nights work, I became wildly energized. It was amazing the feeling. Having gathered all I felt I needed to do the work, I set off on my adventure. Now, mind you, I had an Esbat to attend first. I started out thinking I would go to my usual cemetery. I was planning out the parking and other issues I would be facing (this cemetery is also patrolled heavily and has many homeless and addicts sleeping and loitering in it at night, all part of the fun if you ask me, lol). But as I was winging down the freeway, I had this nagging feeling to at least go look at the suggest cemetery here in town. Quick exit and entry and I found myself looking at the cemetery. Wow, what a good feeling I had about it. My lighter had run out during the Esbat so I would need to get another prior to entering. Just so happens 7-11 was a block or two away. I needed some flour as well, and much to my happiness, 7-11 had that too. Yea! All things point toward success.
I parked grabbed my gear and made entry into the cemetery, using my normal entry ritual. An offering of liquor to the guardians of the cemetery. In this case I used rum, 151 to be exact. I usually use whiskey. New work, new technique I guess. Off into the darkness I meandered. A couple were traversing the yard on their way to wherever. I slid by them quietly and in the shadows, no use making my presence known. Once I was firmly into the yard I stopped and went into a light meditative state to allow the reception of the messages I was there to receive. I announced myself to the spirits, stated my intent and began my “purposeful wandering”. I was so comfortable. It was like I was in my own home. I felt even more welcome than I do in my regular working cemetery.
I followed my senses and arrived at my destination. I was surprised though I supposed I shouldn’t have been. My chosen spirit is a woman. I usually work with spirits that are male military veterans. Nope, not tonight. I entered into a much deeper meditative state, then proceeded with the rite. After lighting the candles, I summoned her shade forth through incantation and visualization. As I did I felt her manifest as suggested in the grimoire. Her essence manifesting above the grave marker. It was really rather amazing. I demanded her to walk with me and serve my requests. Demand is a strong word. I assure you I did this with respect. I honor the spirits with whom I work. I am grateful for their assistance. I performed the working, gathered and paid for some dirt, made an offering to her of rum and left. It was quite empowering.
Now, I wait. 3 days before I can return to the cemetery. I plan on doing offerings to her during this period to strengthen the connection. Now to plan the next few steps in the process.
Stay tuned.
Awesome!
This is inspiring, I need to find a graveyard of my own. You mentioned that your graveyard is patrolled, how do you manage to avoid detection?
Timing, training ( I did a little hopp’n and popp’n, shoot’n and loot’n when I was young) and avoidance. Spend some time doing surveillance. Traffic patterns, vehicle and foot traffic in and about the chosen “target”. It takes a few days of disciplined surveillance to learn “how things work around here”. Armed with that, a little invisibility spell work to mask your presence and a good dose of “Law Away” oil. You’ll be fine. Then once you have your spirit, you can tell it to “hide” you from the eyes of others.
Have fun!!!
